Obituary

Peter Davila Castillo April 29, 1957-March 26, 2026
Our beloved Son, Father, Brother, Grandpa, Great Grandpa and Friend to many Pete
Castillo gained his wings and was welcomed home with our Lord on March 26, 2026. Peter was
born on April 29, 1957 in San Antonio, Texas to Jose Medellin Castillo and Sinforosa Davila
Castillo. One month after his birth the family moved to Guadalupe where he and his 17 siblings, 8
brothers and 9 sisters were raised on Holly street. Pete attended local schools and graduated from
Righetti High School in 1976. Peter married Gloria at the age of 19 and had 3 beautiful daughters
that he was always with and cherished. He began working at a very young age and settled with
construction which he really enjoyed and worked for years. Peter retired from construction in 2012
and enjoyed driving around town showing his daughters and nine grandchildren all the buildings
he took part in and had many stories to share. Pete loved listening to music while enjoying a nice
cold Budweiser after a long day of work. He also enjoyed going to the beach, fishing, building his
own projects, yard work for his daughters and even work that was needed in the home he could do
it all! Adding on to homes and even adding in ponds and building a huge bird aviary in his own
backyard. Pete loved to go on long rides to the beach through the Mesa, and Guadalupe while
listening to his favorite tunes classic rock and R&B always wanting the volume turned up with a
huge smile. He was always ready to go, dressed at his best, clean and in style always matching and
smelling fresh! Pete loved to lend a helping hand and was always meeting new people especially the
ladies, he was definitely a ladies man he knew what to say and when to say it. He will always be
missed and remembered by all who crossed his path at one point or another. He would always say
"Helmet" which has stuck to many of us and there was a story behind that too. Pete is survived by
his three daughters April, Nicole, and Cierra (Joe) and 8 grandchildren Louie, Lexandra, Lilyana,
Abryana, Avangelina, Joseph, Jeremiah and Jayden. He is preceded in death by his Mom and Dad,
his first grandson Marky Ybarra and His brother Concepcion (Felix) Castillo, Sisters Josie
Paduganan, Sylvia Hernandez, Angelita Mendez and 4 nephews and one niece. May they all rest in
peace and be remembered with love. Dad (Peter) you will always be in our hearts and never be
forgotten until we all meet again. We love you Pa "Helemet". "Goodbye is not forever. Goodbye is
not the end. It simply means I'll miss you until we meet again." -After.com
