Michael E. Demele
December 27, 1956 – May 17, 2025

Michael E. Demele, a proud U.S. Navy veteran, loving husband, brother, father, and grandfather, passed
away peacefully on May 17, 2025, at the age of 68.

Born in Oxnard, California, Michael graduated from Ventura High School in 1975, where he met the love
of his life, Teresa. After a brief time apart, they reunited and married on August 26, 1989, sharing a lifelong
love and partnership that shaped their family's foundation.

At 18, Michael enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving 20 years and achieving the rank of Petty Oicer First
Class as a Gunner's Mate. A Gulf War veteran, he proudly served his country with dedication and
strength. After retiring, he worked at Bowmar, UPS, and Lovarc "as a job coach" at Vandenberg Space
Force Base.

Michael loved sci-fi, especially Star Trek, video games, technology, Disney, and making people laugh.
Whether dressed as Darth Vader on Halloween, starting nerf wars, or delivering a classic dad joke, he
filled every room with warmth and laughter. His bear hugs, quiet support, and constant presence will be
deeply missed.

He is survived by his wife Teresa; his sister Sharon; his children Heather, Jessica, Heidi, Michael, and
Sara; twelve grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in
death by his parents, Joseph and Urith, and his sister Karen.

A memorial service will be held later this summer.
