In Loving Memory of Mary Louise Wright

August 12, 1937 – September 9, 2025

Mary Louise Wright, of Santa Maria, California, passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side. She was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania on August 12, 1937, and passed away on September 9, 2025, at the age of 88.

Mary was a devoted mother to six children: Marla Liles-Moreland (TN), Barbie Caldwell (FL), Mark McCarver (CA), Lisa Gannon (MT), Joanna Menezes (CA), and Paul McCarver (deceased). She also lovingly embraced her stepson, Dug Wright.

She raised her family in Cardiff, California, and later moved to Big Bear, California with her husband, Don Wright. There, she was deeply involved in the Catholic Church and youth camps. After their time in Big Bear, they relocated to Apple Valley, California. Following Don's passing, Mary moved to Santa Maria, California, where she lived with her daughter Joanna for the last several years.

She was blessed with 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy. Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Don Wright; her son, Paul McCarver; her parents, Francis and Roberta Grattan; and cherished siblings, Charles Grattan, Regina Wanket and Beverly Kearns.

Mary's life was marked by faith, family, and service. Her warmth, strength, and unwavering love will be remembered by all who knew her.
