On January 21st, 2026 Juanita Agnes Walker went home to the LORD! Juanita was born at home on August 19th, 1934 in Winters Texas. Juanita is the oldest of four children. When she was a little girl they moved to the Imperial Valley. Where Juanita went to school, and subsequently spent all of her formative years. She was married to a man much her senior at 16 years old and with him she mothered 3 children. Karen, Sharon, and Kenneth Cox! A couple of years later, she met the love of her life, Bob Walker, and he absolutely swept her off her feet! Bob on the heels of his own marriage told a coworker "I am going to marry that woman!" It was love at first sight! During this period, both families converged into one much reminiscent of The Brady Bunch. With 3 children from each marriage, all living under one roof, chaos ensued! Amidst this chaos, another child was conceived, Lisa Walker. After many ups and downs, the family decided a move was in order. They moved to the Santa Maria Valley in 1978! This is where Bob and Juanita would live out the rest of their days. Juanita worked for Pappy's restaurant for many years until she started working at the Chevron Truck stop, where she stayed until 2012. Bob passed away in 1996 at the age of 72. After Bob passed, Juanita felt a calling to the LORD Jesus Christ and spent many years as a member of First Christian Church here in Santa Maria. Juanita is succeeded in death by her daughter Sharon Carr, & her husband Bob Walker! She is survived by her children Karen Boe of Las Vegas, Kenneth Cox of Wasilla Alaska, and Lisa Walker of Santa Maria. As well as her three siblings Shirley, JT, and James Cummings of the Imperial Valley. Last but not least, her 23 grandchildren, and her best friend Patricia Cox.
