Nipomo
Cornelio Silva Guzman was born on September 20th, 1937 in Tendeparacua, Michoacan, Mexico to Concepcion Guzman Saenz and Gonzalo Silva Castro. He also passed away in the same beautiful rancho he loved on October 8th, 2025. He was the 4th born out of 8 children. At the age of 20 he risked everything & migrated to California where he worked in agriculture throughout various farming communities along side his cousin Roman Cervantes. Ultimately he planted roots that prospered in Nipomo California. He married Maria Belen Silva Barajas in 1960 and had 7 children; Reyna Azalea Garibay Silva, Olga Arredondo Silva, Fernando Silva, Berta Valencia Silva, Roberto Silva, Francisco Silva, & Sandra Silva. Grandchildren he had 18, and 20 great grandchildren, plus countless nieces, nephews, cousins, compadres, & friends. He was a hard worker who did anything for his family. His famous carnitas became a staple at family gatherings. Music was essential in his daily life. Rancheras & corridos were his jam. His riches were his family. Every one who knew him has a story of a point in time he had left an impact on. He loved to laugh and live in the moment. He will be remembered as a humble, respected, kind, joyful, friendly member of the 2 communities he loved, Michoacán and the Central Coast.
