Anna Marie
Oliveira
Jul 13, 1943 — Oct 29, 2025
Anna Marie Oliveira (Almaguer)
July 13, 1943 – October 29, 2025
Anna Marie Oliveira, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025. She was born on July 13, 1943, in Santa Maria, California, to the late Luis and Felicitas Almaguer. Anna was a lifelong resident of Guadalupe and later Santa Maria, where she built a life full of love, laughter, and community.
In 1972, Anna married the love of her life, Daniel Frank Oliveira. Together they shared three beautiful children — Henry Oliveira, Deneen Abernathy, and Salandra Oliveira — and she was blessed with several grandchildren who were the light of her life. Although she was widowed in 1976, Anna's strength and love carried her family through, and she remained a devoted mother and grandmother throughout her life.
After graduating high school, Anna earned her cosmetology license and worked as a talented hairdresser for 32 years at Alicia's Beauty Magic. Cutting hair wasn't just her profession — it was her passion. She loved styling the hair of her brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and countless friends, always bringing laughter and warmth to her chair.
Outside the salon, Anna enjoyed bartending at golf tournaments and cheering on her favorite sports teams. Her greatest joy, however, came from attending her children's and grandchildren's sporting events. She also had a creative spirit, spending hours sewing, crafting, and designing special dresses for loved ones.
Anna is survived by her loving children Henry (Clarissa) Oliveira, Deneen (Eric) Abernathy, and Salandra Oliveira; her grandchildren Jordan Jones, Isaiah Lewis, Shania Gomez, Guillermo, Anthony, Henry Jr., Isaiah Oliveira and Loyal, True, Honesty, Destined Abernathy, who brought her endless joy; and her siblings Louisa Almaguer, Frank Almaguer, Martha Regalado, and Juanita Perry. She is also reunited in heaven with her husband, parents and numerous brothers and sisters who passed before her.
Anna was truly one of a kind — a woman with a radiant personality, a generous heart, and an unforgettable sense of humor. Her presence brought joy wherever she went, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A memorial service to honor Anna's life will be held at The Salvation Army 200 W Cook Street, Santa Maria, California on November 18, 2025 at 10:00am. Reception to follow at Salvation Army reception hall at 1:00pm.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, siblings, family, and all those whose lives she touched.
